At Cognitec (Livewire Franchise), we want every student to be confident in their decision to enroll. This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are processed. Please read this policy carefully before making any payment.
1. Refund Eligibility Window
Refund eligibility depends on when you request the cancellation relative to your batch start date:

Note: The 10-25% deduction covers administrative costs, processing fees, materials issued, and seat-blocking opportunity cost.
2. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refund under any circumstances:
- Registration fees and application fees (if paid separately)
- Course materials, books, or hardware kits already issued
- Certificate issuance charges
- Late payment penalties or EMI processing fees
- Cases where the student has violated our Terms & Conditions and been removed from the course
3. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request, follow these steps:
- Email us at cognitec.inn@gmail.com with subject line "Refund Request - [Your Name]"
- Include the following details: Full name, registered phone number, course enrolled, batch start date, payment receipt number, reason for cancellation
- Attach payment proof (receipt or transaction screenshot)
- Our team will review your request within 3 working days
- Upon approval, refund will be processed to the original payment method within 10-15 working days
4. Refund Processing Timeline
- Review period: 3 working days from email receipt
- Processing time: 10-15 working days after approval
- Payment method: Refund will be credited to the original payment source (bank account, UPI, card)
- Bank processing: Additional 5-7 working days for the amount to reflect in your account (depends on your bank)
5. Batch Transfer Option
Instead of cancelling, you may opt to transfer to a different batch at no extra cost, subject to availability. Batch transfers must be requested at least 3 days before the current batch start date. This is often a better alternative if you have scheduling conflicts.
6. Cognitec-Initiated Cancellation
In rare circumstances, Cognitec may cancel a batch due to:
- Insufficient enrollment numbers
- Trainer unavailability or unforeseen circumstances
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, lockdowns, etc.)
In such cases, students will receive:
- 100% refund of fees paid, OR
- Free transfer to the next available batch
7. EMI / Loan-Based Payments
If you paid through an EMI/loan partner:
- Refund will be processed back to the loan provider, not directly to you
- The loan provider will adjust your outstanding balance accordingly
- Already-paid EMI instalments may not be refundable as per the loan provider's terms
- Loan processing fees and interest already charged are non-refundable
8. Disputes and Escalation
If you are not satisfied with the refund decision, you may escalate the matter:
- Level 1: Email cognitec.inn@gmail.com with subject "Refund Escalation"
- Level 2: Call our customer support at +91 98840 92863 and request to speak to a senior manager
- Level 3: Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Chennai, Tamil Nadu courts as per our Terms & Conditions
9. Policy Changes
Cognitec reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes apply only to new enrollments after the change date and do not affect students already enrolled under the previous policy.
